Robin Maurice Barr
Robin is a self-taught digital photographer who creates abstract images from shapes, lines, colours, and textures that he sees in the urban environment. He also has a passion for photographing architecture.
Robin has exhibited in several exhibitions since 2019. In 2023 he took part in exhibitions in London, Leeds, Bradford, Glasgow, Norwich, and Hebden Bridge.
Three of Robin's square format architectural images were published in 2023 in the European Chinese Photographic Art Yearbook, the goal of which is to provide a dialogue between Eastern and Western photographers, and to build a bridge for cultural exchanges between the East and the West.
Also that year, a photograph called 'Something Special' was selected for the England wide #PicturingHighStreets exhibition that toured the country. Furthermore, four of Robin's Bradford images were selected for an outdoor exhibition called #PicturingBradford.
Robin also has an interest in photographing indistinguishable marks, weathered paint, and faded graffiti that appeal to him as abstract shapes and forms. A current project involves photographing aspects of towns and cities in the North West of England where he now lives.
Robin has photography accounts on Flickr and Instagram.
